- Factory Safety Limiters Retained: OEM “fail safes” are retained within the ECU calibration. Close monitoring of all operation parameters ensures that engine operation stays within factory components limits, resulting in an OEM-like drivability and reliability.
- Engine Temperature Protection (Rev Limit based on Engine Coolant Temperature): Engine speed limit protection active under warm-up to prevent potential damage when coolant temperature is not within operation range.
- Optimized Responsiveness and Drivability: Professionally calibrated to improve engine response and reduce drive-by-wire lag. Optimized torque curve for more low end torque and faster turbo spool.
- Optimized Smoothness and Driving Comfort: Due to the large flat torque curve, the calibration offers a smooth operation under normal and hard acceleration. This results in linear acceleration with constant torque without low end torque peak that will cause loss of traction and uncontrollable power surge, at the expense of high engine speed power.

Maximum torque output is achieved sooner and maintained longer which creates a broader torque plateau and greater area under the curve. - Speed Governor Removed: Vehicle speed limiter within ECU is removed. (If automatic, subject to transmission rotational speed limit)

Amazing Support
Recently purchased and installed the Unitronic Stage 1+ and Stage 1 DSG combo along with the programming tool for my 2015 Audi A3 1.8T. Installation was very straightforward and easy. It did take 15 minutes to install the ECU tune, but the DSG tune uploaded much faster. Had an issue with loading the DSG tune right after the ECU tune. I called support and he was extremely helpful and knew exactly how to fix the issue. It was a simple closing out of the application after loading the ECU tune and then starting again for the DSG tune. My car is noticeably faster than before. Car already had cat back Remus exhaust with quad Akroponic exhaust tips, resonator delete, intake with tube and turbo inlet pipe. I am not sure if the car is 84 hp and 104 ft lbs of torque faster, but it is noticeably faster. To be fair, I do not drive extremely aggressively and never floor the accelerator, so the stats may indeed be correct. Turbo still needs a little time to spool. It is amazingly nice to see what gear the car is in. I installed an S3 wheel with paddle shifters, so knowing the gear is nice. Engine sounds more aggressive even than before. Transmission shifts much quicker and smoother. Gas mileage is indeed a little better than before. I would definitely say that it is worth the money. As I said, it definitely feels stronger and pulls much harder. Maybe I am unable to judge an 84 hp difference since my other car is a 2013 GT500. Next is the IS38 turbo with supporting intercooler, downpipe, and Unitronics Stage 2 for IS38.
