Description
The Unitronic Charge Pipe Upgrade Kit for the MK8 Golf R® and 8Y S3® is comprised of an upgraded turbo discharge pipe, throttle body pipe, silicone turbo outlet hose, silicone throttle body hose and silicone intercooler inlet/outlet hoses.
Combined, this kit features a high-flow design that eliminates restrictions in the boost (charge) piping which runs from the turbocharger outlet to the engine, allowing for unrestricted airflow and maximum performance.

Completely Optimized System
With a larger 60mm internal diameter, matching multi-ply reinforced and fluorolined silicone couplers, smooth transitions and fewer restrictions through optimized routing of the one-piece mandrel bent lightweight aluminum tubing, Unitronic’s Charge Pipe Upgrade Kit helps remove restrictions throughout the complete length of the intercooler plumbing system.
Premium Components
Unitronic’s multi-ply reinforced silicone hoses are more robust than the factory hoses and will not expand or balloon with higher boost pressures. Additionally, Unitronic’s silicone hoses feature a fluorolined inner layer to ensure resistance to oil penetration.
WMI Provision
Unitronic’s Throttle Body Pipe also includes a 1/8” NPT port for convenient installation of a water/methanol injection nozzle. The location of the port places it in a safe location relative to the throttle body which provides an ideal location to achieve maximum Intake Air Temp (IAT) reduction (air temperature cooling) through proper atomization of the water/meth mixture in the charge air, prior to the mixture entering the combustion chamber. A correctly placed bung for the OEM Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor is included as well.
Direct Bolt-on Upgrade
Like all Unitronic Performance Hardware, this kit was specifically designed to provide seamless fitment within the engine bay. Unlike its competitors, Unitronic’s Charge Pipe Upgrade Kit includes all the factory wiring harness mounting points in order to provide an OEM-level installation while avoiding wires from dangling around the engine bay.

Every intercooler needs these pipes.
Upgraded to the unitronic intercooler and had to add new pipes. Very happy with the quality and fitment of their charge and throttle pipe. Most kits only offer a charge pipe, this came with everything. The setup fits better than OEM.

Hose fitment very tough!
After installing the hoses, they blew off repeatedly. The bottom discharge hose connect to the intercooler blew off along with the discharge hose after the first drive. I had to modify the hoses so much that it was sickening. I finally got the IC hose to stay, but then the discharge hose blew off again. The clamps are not worth it, I'm now going to purchase T-Clamps.
The hose given from Unitronic to the aluminum discharge pipe do not line up well... thus making it difficult to keep from blowing off under boost!
THEN, the IC to the throttle bottle stock hose was then too short... so, I had to cut one of the hoses Unitronic gave me and essentially fabricate a new hose that was long enough. This kit is ok.
Instructions are sad at best. They should have some nice words of wisdom about "the hoses probably won't align" with what is needed, so you'll have to deal with that, cut... cuss and blow hoses off until you realize that the clamps and setup we gave you were for someone with maybe 10lbs of boost. Where 30lbs of boost will require T-Clamps. Oh, and by the way, would you like to upgrade to them before we ship your kit to you?
