Unitronic® is proud to unveil its latest Performance Downpipe tailored for 2.0TSI EA888.3 MQB vehicles. This high-performance downpipe is a seamless bolt-on enhancement meticulously engineered to eliminate undesirable restrictions in the stock downpipe. Its primary objectives are to diminish turbo lag and enrich the exhaust acoustics significantly. It achieves this while incorporating a state-of-the-art GESi 5-inch 400-cell per square-inch ultra-high-output catalytic converter.

The GESi GEN2 ultra-high-output (UHO+) catalytic converters were collaboratively developed with Unitronic, tailored explicitly for various Audi and Volkswagen® applications from 2017 onwards. These cutting-edge converters have been certified by GESi to withstand power outputs of up to 1000 horsepower. With its optimally designed cast upper section using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and durable stainless steel construction, this Performance Downpipe is the ultimate upgrade for your EA888.3 vehicle.

Development:

The catalytic converter on this Performance Downpipe has been a key development focus for Unitronic Engineers. Through extensive collaboration with GESi and the iterative refinement of their G-Sport Emissions Systems Catalytic Converters over the years, their goal was to ensure that the product would meet compliance demands and align with Unitronic's performance objectives.

Drawing on the outstanding performance of these catalytic converters in other areas of Unitronic's product lineup, the engineering team once again opted for a GESi 5" UHO+ converter. This choice was driven by its ability to meet the requirements of the 1.8/2.0TSI EA888.3 engines and its remarkable 1000-horsepower rating. Paired with CFD-optimized castings in the upper downpipe section, the substantial 5-inch catalytic converter promotes exceptional exhaust flow.
