Description
The Torque Gusset Front Traction Bar is a fully integrated brace that ties the entire front crossmember to the A arm suspension to cut down on bushing and chassis deflection. This deflection is one of the main causes of torque steer and wheel hop. By linking these critical points together, the whole front end is braced to handle ANY power level you throw at it.
- 4 Point Construction tying into the Rear A-arm mounting points for extra rigidity
- Lattice work construction to reinforce and give you the ultimate in wheel hop and torque steer reduction
- Heavy duty CNC billet end cups
- Clears aftermarket motor mounts
- High gloss double black powdercoat finish
- Hand MIG and TIG welded Construction
- Made in the USA

Game Changer
I recently purchased and installed this traction bar on my 2017 GTI Sport. Shipping was fast and build quality is phenomenal. Without sounding too hyperbolic, it fundamentally transforms the steering, ride, handling and sense of solidity of my GTI. On my first real drive home I blew right past my house after a long shift and hit the winding back roads because I didn’t want to stop driving. My suspension is bone stock with 50K miles and I have an APR tune with around 320 hp and 350 lbs/ft of torque, Golf R brakes with EBC Redstuff pads, DSG tune and the LSD. That’s a TON of power and torque for a FWD car with Michelin Pilot All-Season tires and I never need to think twice about holding any of it back. Remarkably, understeer is reduced significantly and mid corner grip is immense with no need for mid corner corrections (on a stock suspension remember!). The beauty is you don’t even have to push hard to feel the improvement. Just cruising around town you can feel how locked in the front end feels with no detrimental NVH. High speed cornering is confidence inducing. The suspension absorbs bumps better too. This is a criminally overlooked mod with literally no downsides. Strut tower braces are a waste of money with barely noticeable results. THIS is where you need to start. I’d argue it’s just as beneficial as a good set of coilovers and sway bars but in a different yet equally important way.
