Centric® Posi Quiet® Street Friction
Posi Quiet® brake pads are manufactured using the same positive molding process utilized by Original Equipment suppliers.
Positive molding uses extreme pressure to compress the friction material and bond it to the backing plate.
This process assures consistent friction material density throughout the pad, resulting in even wear and performance characteristics throughout the life of the brake pad.
Posi Quiet® brake friction features either precision cut or shaved backing plates and mechanically attached shims - these small details ensure proper fitment in the caliper and virtually eliminate noise associated with pad vibration.
In addition to these features Centric Parts® has added a scorching process to all of its Posi Quiet® brake pads.
This additional process forces any impurities out of the friction material and pre-burnishes the pads to provide a greatly accelerated the break-in process.
All Posi Quiet® friction compounds have been specifically formulated to match original equipment.
Centric® pays particular attention to matching the appropriate Posi Quiet® friction material to each application, based on exhaustive research of OEM samples, edge codes, materials and manufacturers.
All Posi Quiet® brake pad friction formulations are asbestos free and are available in three application specific compounds.

2017 GTI Sport
Got these for my 2017 GTI Sport (with Performance Package) after my OEM pads started squealing. Perfect fit, fixed the brake noise issue, little to no brake dust, decent stopping power for a daily driver.

Improvement over factory pads
Decided to replace the factory Mk7 GTI (With PP) brake pads after 10,000 miles of use due to the excessive brake dust and constant wheel cleaning. Have used a number of pads over the years including Repco and Hawk. Decided to try Cetric Posi-Quiet based on reviews. I did not perform any measured tests before and after replacement of the original pads so my review is based on feel which is not an ideal way to measure performance. That being said, I do feel that the Centric Ceramics pads are a good alternative to the factory pads. One aspect of the factory pads is that they are very touchy during initial bite - that is, they have a tendency to grab quickly under even light pedal pressure. The Centric pads do not have this initial grab but they are very progressive in feel but still seem to match the factory pads under hard braking. To me, this makes the pads more driveable (especially in low speed conditions like stop and go traffic and parking lots) without giving up overall performance. I have only driven a few hundred miles since the change but dust seems to be much lower than the OEM pads. While good "street" pads, I would suspect that they are not a good fit for the track. Rated "5 Stars" based on the combination of solid performance, low dust and reasonable price.
