  • Awesome looking headlights!!!

I was deciding between this or the MK7.5 headlights but I decided on this ones. The MK7.5 headlights look great but I feel they're too modern and don't match the car, but that's just my opinion. This headlights arrived quickly and in great condition. Before you remove your bumper, make sure to transfer the OEM low beam bulbs to the new headlights (it comes with the high beams already installed). There's a plate with a few screws to access the low beams. I absolutely recommend taking the time to put new halogen bulbs or even led or HID (keep in mind, you'll void the warranty if you use a non halogen bulb) because once you install the headlights I think it's impossible to access it, so be sure to do this before hand. Also plug the new headlights and test them to make sure they're working properly before starting this project. Before thightening all the bolts, make sure the headlights are aligned with the bumper, fender and hood. It has a ton of adjustablity and there's a phillips head screw in the front that if you tighten it, it will make the headlight go outwards (if needed, if not leave alone). Take your time and good luck for anyone looking to install these, it'll be worth it!

Note: You will need to purchase the lighting package grille so the red strip inside the headlight aligns with the grille. The halogen grille version will not align, but it's not necessary for the installation of the headlights, you can upgrade it later.

  • must for all gti's

The red stripe is such a classic style for these cars that they all should have these.

  • Upgrade

Car looks way better with stripe continuing in to lights. never had projectors before but i can SEE why they are so popular,

  • Light replacement steps are not included and funny thing is, the project lights are missing bulbs. It is funny because I installed the first light spent a few minutes scratching my head wondering why the projector lights did not work. Worst part of fixing the mistake was, the whole unit has to come out and 6 screws need to be removed to access the bulb. Terrible design considering that this whole process has to be done if the bulb needs to be replaced. Lastly, there were no install instructions provided. There wasn't a single piece of paper in the box to assist with the install. Though the fitment is fine, the design is terrible and comes with a penalty to be paid in the future and for this I way buyer beware.
