The Mishimoto 12-16 BMW F10 M5 Intercooler Kit (Wrinkle Black) is a high-performance intercooler designed to provide maximum cooling capacity for your BMW F10 M5. 

The factory-issued S63 twin-turbo V8 engine often underestimated, showcases its potential for responsiveness to tuning and various bolt-on modifications. Terming it merely a super sedan would be an understatement, as this vehicle exceeds conventional expectations. Heavy vehicles endowed with high horsepower are inherently capable of generating significant heat. This excess heat often affects vital systems such as engine cooling, charge air cooling, and oil cooling. Having addressed the oil cooling system by introducing the F10 M5 performance oil cooler, the focus has shifted to enhancing the liquid-to-air intercooler system.

The engineering team behind this endeavor has meticulously devised an intercooler and pipe kit that markedly enhances volume, improves cooling efficiency, and optimizes airflow compared to the factory-installed coolers. The first step involved expanding the core volume by an impressive 37 percent, in contrast to the stock coolers. Drawing upon an extensive understanding of heat transfer dynamics, the team meticulously fashioned an exceptionally efficient bar-and-plate core design. This innovation results in optimal cooling while reducing airflow obstruction by 10 percent. Rigorous testing substantiates these claims, showing a substantial 24-degree decrease in intake temperatures. Furthermore, the outcome included remarkable power gains of 25 WHP (Wheel Horsepower) and 22 WTQ (Wheel Torque) when applied to our stage-1-tuned M5 model. The notable drop in intake temperatures enhanced timing, resulting in more consistent and elevated power output.
