Spring has sprung but not my rear end!
So, I noticed that when exiting a beltway, and coming down the ramp, I could feel a bit of roll or wobble. On the Sportwagen, you have a bit more mass hanging out past the rear axle. Nothing too egregious but I looked around for a remedy. After install of the springs (note: these are not the very stiff radical, deep drop ones...think more daily driver usage), I wondered whether I would notice a real difference or just a 'placebo' effect. Yes indeed, REAL difference. The Sportwagen feels more like it is on a rail, adhering like a slot car. Again, adult driver here. I also have installed an upgraded stiffer torsion bar as well. Install of the rear springs is about one hour, but the front springs take about 3 1/2 -4 hours. Be prepared for the install cost.Ultimately, if it saves one slide on a wet pavement or gravel road..it is worth it. And yes, you will drive with more confidence and 'feel' of the road. Finally, H and R are made in Germany and carry a great warranty.
