CTS Turbo is pleased to announce the release of our Front Mount Intercooler (FMIC) for the MK7 GTI.
The CTS Turbo FMIC Kit for the MK7 GTI is an excellent upgrade for any stock or modified car.
Increasing the core volume and the intercooler placement has resulted in significant cooling improvements, including reduced heat soak and reduced charged air temperatures.
These improvements can be attributed to our large high density intercooler core, and smooth flowing cast aluminum end tanks.
This kit features an impressive bar and plate intercooler core, 4 ply silicon couplers, stainless steel T-Bolt clamps and requires no trimming to your OEM bumper or rebar!
NOTE: kit includes hardware and parts necessary to relocate the SAI pump and the outside air temperature sensor.
NOTE: FMIC kit does not fit vehicles with forward-collision warning system (small black radar in the front grille)

Good looking intercooler drilling into the crash bar though was easily the worst experience went through multiple drill bits, ended up using a Sawzall to cut into the crash bar half way where the bolts were supposed to mount and then drilled into the cut I made, saved a lot of struggles

Awesome Intercooler by CTS
Awesome Intercooler right away cooler IAT temperatures highly recommend. Took a while drilling through the crash bar I’ll tell you that. But other than that installation was a breeze and looks awesome on the car.

Install was straight forward and easy. The Intercooler Itself is great quality and look fantastic! Must have for any performance upgraded GTI !!!

I ordered this product and I am very happy with it. Installation is simple and I notice the cooler temperatures right away.

Good product and easy install
Installed in about two hours on jack stands. I have had bumper off before so that helped to be familiar with its removal. Showed up with one of the end tank couplers smashed so I had to tap the dent out. Packaging was not the greatest, was just packed loosely in paper and I am certain this is why it was damaged in transit. Other than that it went on as the instructions indicated. There are two air guides on sides of front are that require removal and instructions make no mention of this, otherwise fairly acurate. Looks great and I a certain my stage 2 will thank me for putting it on and if I do the turbo, this will be done already.

Part arrived one weak later than promised and was damaged. Packaging was intact, no apparent damage in shipping. Customer service was not helpful. Would not recommend product or Modded Euros.

Noticed a difference in temps for sure. Install is little tricky on the mk7 but well worth it
