Description
Looking to reduce excess engine/ transmission movement? Look no further! CTS turbo has machined this billet insert to fill the large void in the factory dog bone mount. This insert is used in conjunction with your stock mount to improve the feel of the car and help put more power to the ground.
It does this by reducing unwanted movement in the drivetrain. This billet mount will not deteriorate over time like some polyurethane mounts allowing for a long worry free life span.

Keeps the rubber on the ground.
Easy install, definitely an improvement in wheel hop. The car feels like it keeps the front end down better on acceleration. You do feel some extra vibration at a stand still or when moving slowly, but not everytime.

Insert snapped while driving
One of the legs on the insert snapped off while I was driving (June 2020). It had been torqued properly when installed and had it one the car since December 2019. None of the mounts are damaged fortunately.

So far so good
I will put a full review on my YouTube channel fairly soon ( Major Octane Productions) Haven’t gotten to rip on the throttle just yet because the car is getting tuned for the cts turbo boss 500 kit...I did however get on about 60% on my stage 2 file while I had the turbo and insert already installed and it did feel smoother and definitely reduced some wheel hop upfront. So I would so say it’s good so far !

Really Good mod for the money
The insert looked very nice with the black finish, was really easy to install, definitely improves traction and wheel hop by a good amount and the shifting feel improved a little. There is some vibration In the manual when you Release the clutch and don’t give any gas when it’s about to stall but if you give it a little more gas it’s smoothens out, and after a couple weeks I feel like it breaks in and isn’t as bad. It definitely gives the car a more aggressive and direct feeling when on throttle and you can feel the car a lot better. Overall I would say it’s a really good mod for the price.

If your on the fence about this small investment mod, my advise is to go for it! So impressed with the feel this insert provides. Upshifts and downshifts are so much quicker and smoother. Can't think of a better way to spend $40.

Huge Difference for Little Money
I had heard a lot about the billet inserts (CTS and 034) for the MK7 GTI, but wasn't convinced it would make a large a difference as other people stated. I was completely wrong. The first drive with this there is a huge noticeable reduction in driveline slop and shifts feel smoother and more direct. I don't drag race my car, so I can't speak to any wheel hop reduction, but this part is worth it for the direct feeling while shifting alone. I can't tell any difference in NVH with the windows up and only a slight difference with the windows down.

Chemist
Well I never give reviews unless I get an email asking for one.
I have a 2016 Golf APR Stage 1 and VWR sport springs and that's it. I installed the TQ arm insert a week ago. Upon start up there is some harshness and rattling. Around town it is fine but on the highway, at certain speeds and RPMs you get a little more resonance than normal. Its not terrible but considering this doesn't actually make my car faster in any way, I am not a big fan of parts that make the NVH worse for no reason.
For a track car, or maybe someone who wants to think they are driving a supercar this would be cool. I drive a VW, I bought it because its better than the other 20k cars. Therefore I removed the part and keep on my desk at work.
That's why I gave it three stars. I am in the middle. Its a quality part and design but I am not sure of the application for it. IMO this is the best design for something like this. The rubber ones will rattle your teeth out and I seen other metal ones wear away at things, snap or not have the best fitment. I used a poly insert on my 2015 Focus ST and it died in 6 months. I actually autoX that car though so it was useful.
