This FX400 clutch kit from Clutch masters uses the power plus I, Hi-Leverage, Heavy-Duty pressure plate with a custom and extremely durable, Sprung Ceramic disc. that comes with the Steel Back organic disc to allow your 14-18 1.8T Beetle, Golf, Jetta, or Passat to be more responsive and smooth. Clutch Masters is best known for its street-friendly settings and its materials built for weekend races and harsh-spirited driving.

The FX400 has a 6-puck design that is a more aggressive setup. The sprung hub design allows for moderate dampening in high-torque applications, rendering it much more street friendly than solid or rigid designs. This disc is designed for long life, outstanding holding capacity, and rapid heat dissipation.

The FX400/HDC6 (6-Puck) ceramic paddle design creates a quick and rapid engagement as well as clutch chatter that may not be ideal for street-driven vehicles. *Warning* Due to the solid (no Marcel) friction rivet design, the FX400 6 disc engages very quickly and may chatter slightly in first and reverse. To help alleviate this problem, we only use premium ceramic friction material.

*Ceramic-based clutch discs are not intended to increase the life expectancy of a clutch but rather to increase the holding capacity and improve the durability of the clutch. Using a ceramic-based material for easy street driving may reduce the life of the clutch kit due to harsh engagement and a higher tendency to slip the clutch kit.
