Description
When the MK7.5 GTI rolled out, Borla jumped right on the R&D for their new exhaust system. The rear valance of the 2018+ GTI's have a different design making the earlier MK7 systems not fit.
So back to the drawing board they went with the Borla MK7.5 GTI catback exhaust. Taking the same success they had with their Borla 3" MK7 GTI catback exhaust they redesigned the rear exit of the system to take into consideration the newly designed valance of the MK7.5 GTI's.
Each Borla Type S catback exhaust features their patented straight through and multi core technology which unleashes hidden horsepower. The increased velocity not only adds power but improves fuel economy and adds that distinct S-type aggressive sound we all know Borla for.
Everything from the design characteristics of the inner cores to the amount of their sound absorbing composite filament was analized to deliver the optimium MK7.5 catback exhaust.
And best of all, do not forget Borla backs their exhausts with their famous million mile warranty.

worth the money
i spent a lot of time online reading all i could about different exhausts and ended up choosing this one. the exhaust sounds amazing. anything you read elsewhere that says that they can't tell the difference between stock exhaust and this aftermarket exhaust is not true. not only that, but the shop mechanic who did the install for me said that it was the first borla exhaust that he'd installed and he was impressed how well everything fit where the stock exhaust was, and how well all the parts fit together. the black chrome tips are beautiful, and go well with the tornado red paint on the GTI. Borla advertises no drone and this is accurate. The exhaust note is loud, especially going north of 4,000 rpm, going from a stop, and cycling through second and third gears, but once i'm in 6th gear (manual transmission) it gets quiet so that you're riding smoothly.
