AWE Tuning has announced their MK7 Golf R Exhaust Suite. The product line will launch featuring two exhaust editions, and two downpipe versions. Each product as well as combinations will feature AWE Tuning’s industry leading No Check Engine Light Guarantee, Fitment Guarantee and lifetime warranties. The product suite contains 26 variations, which encompasses value-packages of exhausts and downpipes.
The SwitchPath™ Exhaust
AWE Tuning SwitchPath™ Exhaust Technology is a proprietary solution that utilizes valves in the exhaust to control tone and volume. Controlled by a combination of throttle input and engine speed, SwitchPath™ Technology keeps the Golf R quiet and comfortable while cruising, but give it the boot and you’ll unlock an aggressive and exotic exhaust note.
No CEL Guarantee
The AWE Tuning No CEL Guarantee on noted AWE Tuning products protects against the appearance of Check Engine Lights when products are installed properly and used as intended, on vehicles with no additional modifications with the exception of other AWE Tuning products intended to work with that product.
Fitment Guarantee
The AWE Tuning Fitment Guarantee means that we guarantee that the product will fit as it should: all product sections will align properly to each other, and the product will align properly with mounting points as noted in the instructions.

What it does:
The AWE Tuning SwitchPath™ Remote and accompanying control box overrides the factory valving to allow the exhaust valves, whether it be on the AWE Tuning SwitchPath™ Exhaust or the stock exhaust, to be opened or closed manually via the SwitchPath™ Remote.
How to operate:
With the AWE Tuning SwitchPath™ Controller installed, the exhaust valves can be opened by pressing the “On” button found on the left side of the SwitchPath™ Remote. To close the exhaust valves simply press the “Off” button on the right side of the remote.
Please note, the AWE Tuning SwitchPath™ Remote overrides the stock valve control, meaning the exhaust must be opened and closed with the remote as desired.

2015 Golf R AWE Tuning Switchpath Exhaust
Although the exhaust took longer than advertised to ship (9 weeks) IT IS WORTH THE WAIT!!! I originally had the Audi S3 resonator delete with the stock Exhaust. Definitely an increase in sound with that modification. However the upgrade from that to the AWE Exhaust is a step above that in noise and even better looks. Overall the sound outside has increased such that people notice the car on the road when I floor it but it is not obnoxious. I have a DSG transmission so when it shifts at wide open throttle you do get the crack sound "DSG fart" between 1st and 2nd and sometimes 2nd to 3rd. The overall tone is deeper and smooth. This is a bit more in cabin noise at highway speeds a slightly more drown than the resonator delet but not bad and decreasing as it breaks in. Overall a great purchase worth the money and time waited. Thank you to Modded Euros for the updated status as it exceed the posted lead time. Anyone with a Golf R should have this Exhaust!!!!
