APR Roll-Control Lowering Springs dramatically improves the appearance and handling of the Volkswagen MK8 GTI without significant sacrifices to comfort or budget. These springs, designed for use with both DCC and Non-DCC dampers, represent a direct plug-and-play upgrade that provides a lowered center of gravity and heightened spring rates to minimize body roll.
In contrast to many competing lowering spring options that can result in an uncomfortably stiff ride, APR has taken a distinct approach in its design. Extensive testing on various tracks and streets has led to a system that not only enhances the visual appeal of the MK8 GTI but also ensures a comfortable driving experience without frequent crashes or bottoming out of the dampers. By optimizing the ride height, APR has significantly increased spring rates for improved handling while maintaining ride quality, allowing the MK8 GTI to feel stable on the road with minimal impact on comfort.
These springs result from in-house design and are proudly manufactured in the USA using premium high-tensile chrome silicon steel, guaranteeing excellent resilience against sagging and long-lasting performance. Each spring is powder-coated in APR's signature red color, offering added protection against the elements. The front and rear are dual-rate springs functioning as single-rate, linear springs under typical loaded driving conditions. It's essential to note that center of wheel to fender (CF) measurements were obtained on APR's in-house US Spec 2022 MK8 GTI (DCC) test vehicles and may slightly differ from vehicle to vehicle. Although this system was specifically engineered for the MK8 GTI, it is compatible with other similar platform vehicles.
